Clarity and Instructions

Teaching requires us to be clear and precise, when we are lecturing we must ensure that our information to be as accurate as possible so when we relay the information, it is as authentic as what you have been taught.

According to Ms. Ting, she has double-checked her information whether it is up to date so that her class gets the most correct knowledge possible as it will develop misconceptions later on as they advance their studies. Based on my observation throughout the week, most of the teachers' information relay are either normal or clear. However, that also depends on the type of teacher you are. When Ms. Ting teaches, she made sure that her words are consistent with the information displayed on the smartboard or when she writes. She has noted that in case if the students do not get what we said, at least the information on the board should provide sufficient knowledge for them when they are writing down, taking notes or even starting with their activities.

Some students would refer from the board
if they get stuck.
As I mentioned before, Ms. Ting would always do a step-by-step tutorial with her students when they are presented with new concepts or difficult questions. Most of the time in class, Ms. Ting would do differentiated instructions when giving out activities and worksheets for the class. This is to ensure that all students do not get different outcomes through semantic problems. For her case, she would approach the autistic student and did a recap with the instructions, occasionally, the student requires some extra push to achieve the desire outcome or Learning Intention in class. Luckily, Ms. Ting's students are agreeable and are the typical good students thus she didn't encounter much problems when it comes to instructing them to work alone or in a group.
